A Tune Hotel Staycation

Who wants to experience a 5-star bed at a 1-star price? We do!

Last May, a group buying site offered an overnight stay in Tune Hotel (Makati) for only PhP588. The accommodation already includes the hotel’s ‘Cozy Package’ (worth PhP420). The offer was tempting that we bought one voucher (which we later regret, we should have bought more than one!) so we can try the newest (opened last July 17, 2012) addition to their chain of hotels and experience the 5-star bed they are boasting about.

Reception Area

A week before our planned stay in the hotel, I made the reservation. A day after I sent the email, one of the hotel’s representatives replied and confirmed our booking. It was very easy and it swept away all my worries – that the reservation will be hard since I’m going to use a voucher and we may not be able to get the date that will work on our schedules.

PAY ONLY WHAT YOU NEED – That’s the concept that makes TUNE Hotels unique. The concept will allow guests to only purchase services that they need.

Tune Hotel peeps were not lying when they gave out 5 reasons to choose their hotel.

The Bed

The bed does not look that clean and neat >>> Blame Tay… He sat on the bed before taking a picture!

‘The 5-Star Bed’ was really good as well as the linens, pillows and comforter. I wanted more pillows but was too lazy to ask if they provide extras!

F na F!

The hotel room has a ceiling fan that you can use when your AC time already ran out.  There are side tables and a work table as well. The room is very straight forward and every corner is functional.

Power Showers

The ensuite bathroom has Power Shower and water supply is very strong. Taking a bath was really relaxing. It’s spacious (even bigger than Silka Far East Hotel’s bathroom – where I stayed during my Hongkong Trip a few years back) and clean.

Central and Convenient Locations

Tune Hotel Makati was very easy to find, thank you to google maps. From the Hotel, you can just ride a cab and get to Rockwell or Ayala Triangle for less than 55 bucks. It’s just a few steps away from Makati Ave and Jupiter Street.

After going to Rockwell, we went to Ayala Triangle to have early dinner…

Clean Environment

Hands down to the Hotel’s cleanliness!

Less Waste, More Earth

Security

We felt secured knowing that there’s round the clock security. CCTVs were also all over the place. They also have Safety Deposit box in the room that was very easy to use (I don’t know if it’s just me – other hotel’s safe are hard to use. I can’t seem to make them work!).

Our Floor

We enjoyed our stay at Tune Hotel –Makati. We should have taken advantage of the PhP588 deal that was offered a few months ago. We didn’t buy more than one – we were only supposed to try it out. Now, we are already considering staying there (instead of somewhere else) whenever our schedule will not permit us to go home when we need to work for an extended period of time or when Tay has a gig. With promo or none, we’ll surely go back!

How pleasant! I especially liked the “customizable needs” that this hotel offers. I can just get the bed without air-conditioning or cable TV. I should check this out if ever I end up getting drunk in Makati.

  2. Jennifer Lorenzo says:

They should have come up with more places like this a long time ago. It’s brilliant! Especially for the budget-conscious! 🙂

  3. David Ong says:

Tune Hotels are always my first choice accommodation whenever I am away on vacation. I have stayed before at Tune in Downtown KL, Lcct, Danga Bay JB, Penang, Hatyai Thailand…they are just awesome with 3C’s concepts ( i.e. Clean, Comfort & Convenience ). My upcoming trips will put me up soon @Tune Asoke Bangkok, Clark & Ermita Manila! Feel so glad to be a Tuner wherever I go… 🙂
