‘Flow House Manila is an entertainment venue pioneering the fusion between flowboarding, food & beverage, retail, and events.’
“The FlowRider is the most successful wave attraction associated with flowboarding. It generates a thin sheet of water that flows in the form of an endless, perfect ocean swell and is made of a composite membrane that absorbs falls at all times. The resulting wave-like shape permits riders of all ages to experience the thrill of surfing regardless of location.”
A visit to Flow House Manila is a must if you want to do something new this summer. It’s the best alternative for those who need Vitamin ‘Sea’ but do not have the luxury of time to get out of the city.
I’ve been wanting to try and experience flowboarding and luckily, I was able to score passes for Flow House Manila a few days before my birthday. 🙂
Since I only had 3 passes (for my sister and my nephew), the 4th person in our group had to pay the PhP300 non-rider entrance fee so he can get in and use the pool. It’s also consumable. You may order food (Try their chicken wings!) and drinks from their bar and restaurant and the PhP 300 will be deducted from the total bill. Sulit!
Children? Beginners like us? You need not to worry since they have trained staff members/instructors who’ll teach and assist you through each step.
I was very nervous at first but after several tries (and falls) I felt more confident. I also realized that the fun part is really coming from falling and being wiped out. It was very challenging but really fun.
Bodyboarding was easy but Standup Flowboarding is another story. It was hard to balance and control the board! The pressure of the artificial waves was so strong! But will I try it again? Definitely! It’s worth the muscle pain (sorry, I have a very sedentary lifestyle) I felt the day after… 😀
